Our Approach

Instruction designed for working adults approaching the middle decades.

Each Merlion Wealth course is structured as a weekly series, with sessions that combine a formal lesson, a workbook segment applied to the participant's own household data, and a moderated group discussion. This sequence — lesson, application, discussion — is repeated each week, building the participant's personal financial document incrementally over the course of the programme.

The courses are designed for sequential study, starting with the household overview and advancing through portfolio construction to a full retirement plan. Participants with a prior foundation may enter at Course 2 or 3, subject to a brief pre-enrolment conversation with the teaching team.

1
Lesson
Each session opens with a structured lesson covering the week's topic — drawn from the Singapore-specific curriculum and updated annually.
2
Workbook application
Participants work through the corresponding workbook segment, applying the lesson to their own financial situation. Instructors are available for individual questions.
3
Group discussion
The session closes with a moderated discussion, drawing on questions from participants across the group. Common concerns and observations are addressed here.
4
Personal document
Over the full course duration, the workbook segments accumulate into a complete household finance document — reviewed for completeness in the final session.
